À propos

Andreas Funda

I am Andreas Funda, photographer in Quebec City. Creating beautiful pictures is my passion and I’m into photography since I’m 16 years old.

I consider myself a fine art photographer. With a background in web development and design, however I’m not specialised in just one genre or style of photography. I like to explore and appreciate photography as a whole in its various forms.

MY story

At the beginning

Back when I was a young teenage boy, my father was a hobby photographer. I was very intrigued by all his equipment and gear, so I started to read all his camera and equipment manuals. When I was 16 years old, he then asked me if I would like to have my own camera. Without hesitation, I said yes. That’s when I got my first camera, a Canon AE-1.

When this camera got stolen several years later, I replaced it with a Canon A-1. I still have it today, it’s part of my personal museum of cameras now.

Later

First work experience

Several years later, I worked as an assistant for an industrial photo studio. I learned how to develop film, of course, as well how to do product photography.

I later went on to study computer technology and software development, but photography never left me.

When Canon launched its first affordable digital camera, the Canon EOS Rebel, my world changed. Gone were the days of film. We were entering a new era.

Today

Today, I consider myself an expert in digital development using software like Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. The possibilities are endless and there is something new to learn every day. It is absolutely fascinating. I like to explore and develop new techniques to create the best photos possible.
